     Welcome!

Thanks for taking the time to try the Vern Six Clipper ToolBox.
This library contains the bulk of the Clipper functions that I
use on a regular basis. I have developed and tested all of these
functions through many many hours of programming.

Because I am a very firm believer in the ShareWare ("Try before
you buy") system... all the functions contained in my library
     are fully-functional, fully-debugged and ready-to-use. You will
not find any crippled or partial functions.

Until you register your copy of VernSix5.Lib, your applications
will display ONE ten second "advertisement" screen when they start
up. This "advertisement" is not in the registered versions of
VernSix5.Lib. You might say, "This is the inducement to register."

In general, to use a VernSix5.Lib function, you merely use the
command to call the function in your source code, then link your
application with VernSix5.Lib. Only the required code will be
included from the library file, thus eliminating unnecessary
     overhead.

I highly suggest that you look at the enclosed VERNDEMO.PRG to see
how to use the functions in this library. VERNDEMO.PRG is a
rather simple program that I think you will find helpful. A
batch file called MAKEDEMO.BAT is included to ease your compiling
     of VERNDEMO.PRG.

A lot of things have changed between this version of my library
and previous versions. Several functions have changed (matured)
and will significantly increase your productive programming time.
However, DO NOT MAKE THE ASSUMPTION THAT A FUNCTION IN THIS
VERSION IS THE SAME AS A FUNCTION IN EARLIER VERSIONS OF MY
LIBRARY. THIS IS NOT THE CASE!!

IMPORTANT NOTE!! This version of my library is specifically
for Clipper v5.01. As such, several functions
have changed and ALL functions have been renamed
to a much more consistant manner. i.e. they all
                       start with VS_.

If you have developed a function that you would like to see used
in future versions of VernSix5.Lib, please send it to me on disk
(with source code). If I use your function in a future release of
     VernSix5.Lib, I will send you a fully-registered copy of VernSix5.Lib
     free of any charge.
